Environmental Policy

We are committed to reducing our company’s environmental impact. The built environment accounts for almost 40% of global CO2 emissions, and we are part of that problem which is why we continually seek ways in which to reduce our carbon footprint and stay well ahead of environmental legislation

Current environmental measures in place include:

Renewables

All energy is bought from renewable sources.

Plastic

All single-use plastics have been phased out of our offices.

Chemicals

Use of chemical cleaning agents has been phased out, and our cleaning contractors now only use chemical-free, environment friendly cleaning products.

Lighting

All lighting is provided by modern LED bulbs and passive infrared sensors are being introduced to communal areas to save electricity when not in use.

Electric Vehicles

Electric Vehicle charging points are available (at the Edinburgh office).

Recycling

We operate a bin free office policy where we encourage clients, staff and partners to use recycling points in our offices instead of bins under desks. We are seeing a 25% increase in recycling volumes since the removal of under-desk bins.

Zero Landfill

For 2022 we have introduced a zero-landfill target. We select waste managers that send our non-recyclable waste for electricity production that’s sold back to the national grid.

PPE

PPE recycling facilities are provided in all buildings.

Feedback Welcome!

Our Environmental policy is work in progress and continues to evolve. We welcome all feedback, suggestions and advice so that we can continue to get better
